Insider: Warriors Working Hard to Trade for LeBron James
There have been rumors of LeBron James teaming up with Steph Curry at some point ever since their bromance & shared Gold Medal in last year's Olympics. Now we're learning that the Golden State Warriors, who inquired about James from the LA Lakers at the past two trade deadlines, are still trying—hard—to trade for LeBron.

Insider Jake Fischer, on the Stein Line, said the Warriors' pursuit of James has been ongoing for a while now:
As long as LeBron James' future in Los Angeles remains uncertain, Golden State will undoubtedly be mentioned as a potential James suitor. I'm told that the Warriors have called the Lakers on multiple occasions over the past 18 months to see whether there is any trade pathway to pairing James with Stephen Curry.
James is playing on an expiring contract with the Lakers this coming season, after picking up his $52.6 million player option rather than opting out and signing a multi-year contract with the team in free agency. But his agent Rich Paul said afterwards that James is looking for his best chance to win another championship in the short amount of time he has left in his career. That sparked the trade rumors.
And the mere fact that the Dubs have called on "multiple occasions" means the Lakers are not simply hanging up the phone.
Adding LeBron to Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green could make the Warriors a non-Thunder favorite in the West. James, even at the age of 40 last season, was still balling, averaging 24.4 points, 7.8 boards and 8.2 assists while finishing 6th in MVP balloting.
