Doc Rivers Blasts Shams Charania for 'Inaccurate' Reporting on Bucks

Doc Rivers is at it again. Despite the numerous reports around the sport of the fracture between Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks, the head coach, who is likely on his last legs in Milwaukee, insists there is no issue between him and Giannis.

And at the same time, he ripped ESPN insider Shams Charania for writing an "inaccurate" article, basically making up stuff, Rivers insinuates, about something that went down in the locker room.

"[Me & Giannis] have a great relationship. Shams wrote an article that was so inaccurate... he talked about a locker room thing, and I was laughing, like, 'yeah, we had a tough locker room day, we lost after a 20-point lead!'

Then, in a direct shot at Shams, Rivers said, "The first thing I thought was, 'Where's Woj? I miss [Adrian Wojnarowski] so much.'"

Wojnarowski, of course, was the NBA's top "insider" for years and years before his shocking departure for a job as general manager for St. Bonaventure in Division I NCAA basketball. Charania immediately became the undisputed king of the insiders after Woj's career change.

A report emerged from Charania earlier this week, calling the Bucks the "most toxic locker room situation" in the NBA.  Rivers, whose job is squarely on the line after a disastrous season in Milwaukee that will see them miss the playoffs by over 10 games, obviously disagrees with that narrative.

Meanwhile, there have also been plenty of other reports about the cantankerous division that's emerged between Giannis and the Bucks over whether he could return to play in the final games of the season. Antetokounmpo wanted to suit up, but Milwaukee did not think he was healthy enough.

This is going to be an explosive offseason in Milwaukee.
