Rapper J Cole Signs Professional Basketball Contract

It's a Cole World and now it includes professional basketball, as Rapper J.Cole has signed a contract to play for Rwandan team Patriots B.B.C of the Basketball Africa League.

The news dropped Monday from Shams Charania of The Athletic, and to some it doesn't come as surprise. Cole has serious game and had even tried to receive a legit try out with the Charlotte Bobcats/Hornets back in the day. The 36-year-old Grammy winner will dress for 3-6 games for the newly minted professional circuit, including his first game this Sunday against Nigeria's Rivers Hoopers.

The BAL's inaugural season will feature 12 teams from across the continent with the entire event unfolding in Rwanda. The venture is a partnership between the NBA and FIBA.
