"I like to think that I'm a troll!": Embiid Baits Harrell Into Scrap

Joel Embiid and Montrezl Harrell have gotten into each other's heads in the past. Sunday night in DC, the beef got physical.

"We got extracurriculars!" was the excited call on NBC Sports Philadelphia. The two went at it after a collision in the lane sent Harrell to the floor. They each were hit with a technical foul, and on the next play, the Washington Wizards' big man was ejected after shoving Embiid yet again.

All the Sixers' star could do was laugh as Harrell was escorted off the floor.

"I like to think that I'm a troll," said Embiid afterward. "I like to think I kind of made him get out of his comfort zone, and that got him kicked out."

Harrell, though, wasn't impressed.

"Stand on your toughness, bro. If you're so tough, stand on that, my dude," said Harrell. "Don’t start nitpicking and pointing and wanting to do the telling when the ref walk in."

These two do have a history. In 2019, Embiid said after a heated exchange with Harrell, "I didn’t pay him no mind. That’s nobody I should worry about, not even close."

In case you're wondering, a rematch is set for January 17th.
