"I'm pissed!": Julius Randle "Too Strong" To Get Foul Calls?

The New York Knicks' hard-fought loss to the Brooklyn Nets was even tougher to take after the game for Knicks' forward Julius Randle. He talked to the refs after the final buzzer, to question some of their calls and non-calls. Their response, that he's essentially "too strong" to draw some fouls, left him furious.

"They said because certain contact doesn't affect me, like it affects other players because I'm stronger, they miss the calls," said an exasperated Randle. "I can't be penalized just for being stronger than people... It pisses me off even more, because that's not how you officiate the game."

Randle picked up a late technical foul for his frustration with the refs, and it was costly, in the 2-point loss.

"I don't know what they're watching or seeing," continued Randle. "They obviously don't understand the game.'

Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau was equally incensed at the calls Randle was not getting.

"Something's not right," said Tibs. ""I know Julius was driving that ball pretty darn hard and I'm pissed."
