Report: LeBron James/Russell Westbrook Dynamic "Untenable"

The word spread around the Las Vegas Summer League last week that both LeBron James and Russell Westbrook were in the same arena, but gave each other the cold shoulder.

The "awkward and intense" relationship went public when "Westbrook attended one of the Lakers’ Summer League games...and sat near the team bench but did not approach or seem to publicly acknowledge teammate LeBron James in any way," wrote Kyle Goon of the Orange County Register.

Now, according to Jovan Buha of The Athletic, "the worst may be yet to come" in the Westbrook/Lakers saga.

The dynamic between the Lakers and Russell Westbrook is becoming more untenable with each passing week as they seemingly head for an inevitable divorce.

The tipping point this time seems to be Westbrook's split with his longtime agent, which signals that he's not willing to 'play ball' with the role that new Lakers coach Darvin Ham has for him.

Westbrook’s breakup with Foucher likely hurts the Lakers’ leverage in future trade talks, only adding to the perception that Westbrook is becoming increasingly difficult to deal with.

Should be an interesting rest of the summer in La La Land.
