Video: Wild Brawl Leads To 5 Players Ejected In Magic/Timberwolves Game

Things got pretty wild on the floor during the Orlando Magic/Minnesota Timberwolves game Friday night, with Mo Bamba and Austin Rivers at the center of an all-out brawl.

Something was said on the Magic bench as the T-Wolves' Austin Rivers had just missed a three, and Rivers and Bamba began throwing punches as the wild melee broke out.

Five players were ejected in the aftermath, Rivers, Taurean Prince and Jaden McDaniels of the Timberwolves, along with Bamba and Jalen Suggs of the Magic.

Rivers said afterwards that Bamba was talking trash from the bench, which led him to approach the Magic bench while was still going on.

"I’m not gonna snitch on the dude or whatever, but I just didn’t like the way he was talking to me," Rivers said after the game. "For no reason, too. I don’t even know that dude. I don’t know anything about him. Obviously, I just know he’s a player for the Magic. And he proceeded to talk, so that next possession, when I went down there, I just said, pretty much, ‘Just keep it respectful, bro.’

"After I went up to him and I pressed him, someone gets up like that, gets in your face, that can go one of two ways," Rivers continued. "He threw a punch and missed. And then somebody – Suggs – grabbed me by my neck. That’s what bothered me the most. That’s the only thing that’s kind of hurting right now."

The NBA will undoubtedly have its say on the matter, with suspensions and fines likely on the way soon.
