Report: Houston Rockets To Send First-Round Pick To The G-League

 

The Houston Rockets are off to a solid 3-3 start on the 2023 NBA season, with their influx of veteran names assisting their young core into becoming a solid team, but at this point in time, it appears their depth may be somewhat hurting their squad.

Now, the team will officially be sending first-round pick and Summer League MVP Cam Whitmore to the G-League, after he was able to get into just half of the teams games thus far early on the 2023-24 NBA season.

The 19-year old was the 20th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, and while he's averaged just 7 minutes per game this season, he has plenty of potential as shown in Summer League, and as the season develops, he's expected to find his way back to the NBA in a big way.
