Mavericks Trade Demand for Anthony Davis is Revealed

The on-again, off-again Anthony Davis trade talks are apparently still very much alive. Grant Afseth of Dallas Hoops Journal is reporting that the Mavs have a price on any AD trade, which would include "at least one 'impactful young talent'."

Afseth goes on to mention two teams that are thought to be among the most interested suitors in Davis, and potential targets that Dallas is interested in to get the conversation started.

From the Golden State Warriors, Jonathan Kuminga (plus multiple draft picks) would be a starting point. Whether the Mavs truly consider him the 'impactful' young player they're looking for is still unclear.

2024 first overall selection Zaccharie Risacher does fit into that cateory, however, and is the man the Mavs have on their radar from Atlanta. This five-team blockbuster was proposed that might be able to get it done.

Insider Chris Haynes told us last week that Dallas WILL be trading Davis before the deadline, which is coming up fast, in just one month, on February 5th.

AD (or "Street Clothes" as Charles Barkley likes to call him) actually is back in the Dallas lineup these days, after missing another couple of games just before the new year. He's played just 27 of 77 potential games since he came to the Mavs 11 months ago.
