Giannis Ready to Move On From Milwaukee In Two Years?

In a comment that can only come as shocking to the Milwaukee Bucks, superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo says “What’s the next challenge? The next challenge might not be here. In two years, that might change. I’m being totally honest with you.”

'Might not be here'? As in, move on from the Bucks?

This certainly comes as a surprise, as the Bucks signed Giannis to a 5-year super max contract before last season, and then went out and won an NBA championship.

Antetokounmpo was just named Athlete of the Year by GQ, and did an extensive interview, during which the startling comments surfaced.

His full thoughts about the future might be a little troubling to hear for Milwaukee fans:

One challenge was to bring a championship here and we did. It was very hard, but we did. Very, very hard. I just love challenges. What's the next challenge? The next challenge might not be here.... Me and my family chose to stay in this city that we all love and has taken care of us--for now. In two years, that might change. I'm being totally honest with you. I'm always honest.

But he still insisted his love for Milwaukee is real. "I love this city. I love this community. I want to help as much as possible."

He has already helped, big-time. No matter where the future takes Antetokounmpo, he will always be tied to Milwaukee.
