Utah Jazz Waive Former First Rounder

He hasn't really been able to get a foothold as yet in his two NBA seasons. Now 22-year-old former New York Knicks first-round pick, guard/forward Leandro Bolmaro has been waived by the Utah Jazz.

Bolmaro, from Argentia, was selected with the 23rd overall pick in the first round of the 2020 Draft by the Knicks, but began his career with the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he got into 35 games, including two starts last season. He averaged 1.4 points in less than seven minutes per game.

His usage this season in Uah was even more scarce, as he got into just 14 games, playing less than five minutes per contest, and scoring a total of just six points.

In the G League this season with the Salt Lake City Stars, Bolmaro, 22, has gotten some run, playing seven regular season games, averaging 12.1 points, 6.4 assists and 6.1 rebounds in 32 minutes per game. Last year in the G League, he averaged 17 points, 6.3 assists and 6.3 rebounds with the Iowa Wolves.
