NBA Rumors: John Collins Will Be Dealt By Thursday Night's NBA Draft

The rumors have been swirling around Atlanta Hawks power forward John Collins for weeks... Even back to February's trade deadline. It's recently emerged that he is the most likely 'name' player to be dealt this offseason. Now, according to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, that trade is extremely imminent.

One thing that is certain: the Atlanta Hawks, sources say, are operating with the goal of trading John Collins before Thursday night gets underway.

The NBA Draft begins Thursday night at 7:30pm ET. By then, if reports are correct, John Collins will have a new address. And presumably, the Atlanta Hawks will have a much juicier draft pick than their current No. 16.

Several teams have been noted to be in the mix for Collins, who just completed the first year of a 5-year, $125M contract.

The Portland Trail Blazers (who own the No. 7 pick) and the Phoenix Suns are two teams that have been mentioned as potential destinations for Collins.

The power forward averaged 16.2 points and 7.8 rebounds this season, while shooting 36.4% from three-point range, though he missed 23 games down the stretch with injuries.
